Nicole Srock.Stanley, founder and CEO of the Berlin-based creative agency dan pearlman will be named Senior Fellow at the prestigious Institute of Place Management at Manchester Metropolitan University during this 4th International Biennial Conference. Formed in 2006, the Institute of Place Management is the international professional body that supports people committed to developing, managing and making places better. The concept for the Institute was developed by the Manchester Metropolitan University and the Association of Town Centre Management in the UK. They recognized a need to create a professional body capable of developing and supporting the creation of sustainable formal structures of place management, ensuring professional standards amongst all those involved in the management, development and marketing of places. The Institute of Place Management (IPM) has the 4th international Biennal conference in September 2017 with the aim to tackle serious issues such as income inequality and climate change which are severely under-estimated, and brings into question the future of the current economic development mantra. During this event, the Academic Committee and executive societies are going to be involved in this great affair. As well as around 40 invited presentations addressing the conference theme of ‘inclusive place-making’. In addition, Ares Kalandides, Director of the Institute of Place Management in Manchester, together with Nicole Srock.Stanley, CEO dan pearlman, are cooperating for the consultancy and of Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), as an important place management approach and place-making practices.
