Mapic 2022

The MAPIC is a three-day festival starting on the 29th of November, finishing on December the 1st held at Palais des festivals, 1 Boulevard de la Croisette, 06400, Cannes, France. Its main characteristics concern the industries of retail, leisure, food, and tech; the exhibition is an opportunity to discuss the future of these industries, and to create a space where people can talk about the co-creation of new business models. MAPIC RETAIL VILLAGE

MAPIC 2022 will present a special exhibiting area highlighting retailers and gathering the most innovative brands in the new retail mix:

· New rising concepts (in partnership with Sites COMMERCIAUX)

· Digital Native Vertical Brands (DNVBs)

· Digital Retail Marketplaces

· Quick commerce players

The Retail Village is bringing together new rising concepts, digital markets places, fast delivery specialists, DNVB. A new generation of retailers, many of whom started life online, are redefining the retail landscape and appealing to an increasingly ethical consumer.

MAPIC RETAIL LAB

For the first time at MAPIC, an immersive and experiential LAB will present the latest and newest solutions and technologies at every step of the customer journey to bring retail forward. For visitors, a chance to discover and experiment new solutions and technologies. For the innovative players joining the LAB, a chance to meet a qualified targeted audience and benefit from the support and animation of the partner My Global Village. MAPIC AWARDS

The awards this year have 8 new categories to apply for out of 12 different categories which include:

– BEST NEW RETAIL CONCEPT

– BEST NEW FOOD & BEVERAGE CONCEPT

– BEST NEW LEISURE CONCEPT

– BEST SUSTAINABLE RETAIL INITIATIVE

– BEST RETAIL OMNICHANNEL STRATEGY

– BEST RETAIL INNOVATION SOLUTION

– BEST URBAN REGENERATION PROJECT

– BEST PERFORMING SHOPPING CENTRE

– BEST PERFORMING OUTLET CENTRE

– BEST PERFORMING RETAIL PARK

– BEST NEW DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

– BEST STORE DESIGN BY FRENCH DESIGNERS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INSTITUT FRANCAIS DU DESIGN

Deadlines & Submission requirements: The extended deadline for submissions is the 15th, July 2022 where you can enter your project for the chance to win an award! This three-day exhibition is a chance to gather with like-minded people, to share ideas, and to celebrate innovation whilst enjoying food, and other leisure activities. The awards are dependent on six key pillars of: retail, leisure, food, sustainability, innovation, the evolution of traditional property assets & the rise of mixed use.

There is no limit on submissions for your company and entry to the awards is free, however in order to receive your award it is necessary to book either a seat or a 10-person table which are valued at 300 EUR, and 2,600 EUR (VAT. Excluded) respectively. Submission forms must be fully written in English, after this a post-entry form is required which has a deadline on the 1st, September 2022. There will be 3-5 finalists for each category of the award, who will have to make additional and substantiating visuals/audio for their presentation, finally winners of the award will have to come up on stage to accept their award.
