In 1995, the MAPIC was held for the first time. In 2019, 8500 participants from over 80 countries as well as 750 exhibitors are expected to attend. Retailers, brands, pure players, shopping destinations, cities & urban planners, culture, leisure operators, workplaces, medical centres, and hotels will be in attendance. The appeal of the fair is as strong as ever: For investors and renters it continues to be one of most important events worldwide, to discuss the trends of the industry and meet decision makers. New concepts are developed, market trends are introduced and networks are built.
This year the event focuses on the question: “How can property owners build & reshape lifestyle destinations to suit the changing face of retail?” Topics and issues it raises will be discussed during the three festival days in panels, pitching sessions, lectures and various other formats.
