MARC O’POLO STRANDCASINO is Store of the Year 2018February 1, 2018
The MARC O’POLO STRANDCASINO of MARC O’POLO and the business group Pier 14 is Store of the Year 2018! The Handelsverband Deutschland, HDE, awarded the destination with a special prize for its unique shopping, gastronomy, and leisure experience. The MARC O’POLO STRANDCASINO won the special prize because of its custom-fit use of the historical building and its perfect brand staging as well as the high-class restaurants integrated in the concept store.
With the opening of the new MARC O’POLO STRANDCASINO in April 2017, a new shopping destination on more than 1.000m² arose. The concept store excites the customers of the brand with a hybrid mix of fashion, food and lifestyle. Its name was inspired by the beach casino of Heringsdorf, which was built at the beach promenade in 1897. The experts of the dan pearlman Markenarchitektur are extremely happy about the award Store of the Year. Since 2010, they have been working on the strategy and design of the MARC O’POLO store concept, which was also used for the new MARC O’POLO STRANDCASINO.
The Handelsverband Deutschland e.V. annually awards innovative and creative stores with the Store of the Year. The jury evaluates stores accordingly to their degree of innovation, customer benefit, added value potential, experience value, and unique selling proposition. Following factors are considered in the decision: space and design of the store, the range of products, or product staging. The award ceremony took place on January 31 as part as the 14th Handelsimmobilienkongress in Berlin.
