Flagship Store won gold for sustainabilityMarch 1, 2014
Within the framework of a pilot project by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen (DNGB) the Marc O’Polo Store Berlin received a certificate in gold for sustainability. Together with Marc O’Polo as a company that has integrated sustainability in its corporate philosophy and the shopfitters Knoblauch, dan pearlman has succeeded to implement the strict criteria of the DGNB at the Marc O’Polo Flagshipstore. Aspects like ecological, economic, socio-cultural, technical and procedural qualities were taken into account.
It was a special challenge to not only put the characteristics of the overall concept into effect on a total of 600 square meters but also to cope with the various criteria of the DGNB. A retail concept was created under the motto “Nordic Lifestyle” with a special focus on sustainability – a significant milestone.
