Prof. Marcus Fischer

“Creativity is the fuel needed for creating brilliant and innovative experiences.”

Marcus Fischer studied architecture and interior design at the Berlin University of the Arts and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover. As a qualified interior designer, he worked for offices in Hanover and Berlin before taking the plunge into self-employment in 1999.

As co-founder of the agency dan pearlman, Marcus Fischer realises his idea of holistic brand management and its equivalent in “brand experiences”.

From the very beginning, renowned international companies have trusted his holistic view of the brand, with a 360° approach consisting of brand strategy, brand communication and brand architecture. In the more than 20 years of his work, Marcus Fischer has developed a wide range of brand experiences and helped shape the spatial-communicative brand appearances of brands such as BMW, MINI, Lufthansa, Mercedes-Benz, MTV, ALLIANZ, Schwäbisch Hall, Brillux, Maggi, Jägermeister and, most recently, the SARTORIUS brand (Göttingen).

His strategic-creative handwriting defined innovative projects such as brand academies, internal branding measures Brand Spaces, international trade fair appearances as well as brand theme worlds and showrooms.

Combining brand management, brand communication and experiential space,

is the declared goal of interior architect and designer Marcus Fischer. Awards such as the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in Gold 2011 for the 360° projection in the Lufthansa Brand Academy, several if-, red dot-, german design and german brand awards as well as the award

of his brand architecture for COEO with the “Store of the Year 2011” confirm his “brand experience” claim, which places the brand experience at the centre of his work.

Since October 2011, Marcus Fischer has been teaching at the SRH University of Applied Science, Berlin School of Design and Communication (formerly design-akademie-berlin) as a professor for brand management/brand staging in the degree programmes Communication Design, Marketing Communication, Master Strategic Design, Master Marketing Communication and Film and Motion Design.
