Under the slogan ‘Expect Amazing’, the exclusive desert state makes a strong impression with innovative ideas and new technologies: the plan envisions the construction of twelve stadiums in Doha that are to serve as paragons of architecture and design, creating a fascinating new dimension of football. With the designs of the ‘amazing stadiums’, Qatar serves as a model for research and development and demonstrates ecological awareness. Special fan zones and practice pitches bring football fans together from all over the world, connecting Western and Eastern cultures in one destination. This design was awarded with the silver medal of the Eva Award in 2011.
