Since early July 2014, visitors have had the chance to experience up close and personal around forty farm animals made up of eleven threatened species in a traditional farm atmosphere typical of the Bergisch region. Part of the adventure and species protection concept at the Cologne Zoo, the 4,200-square-metre Clemenshof was designed by dan pearlman Experience Architecture to resemble a typical farmstead and features a house, various stall buildings and a zoo school. Expansive views and a diverse visitor guidance concept provide for a special experience. Built in just 7.5 months, the Clemenshof project was realized not only on schedule but also within budget.
